Tipps for IPv6 home connection security
Interesting IETF draft by Guillaume Leclanche and Martin Gysi from Swisscom, Eric Vyncke and Ragnar Anfinsen on how basic security could be provided for residential Internet connections with IPv6.
We like this proposal a lot, because it aims at restoring a good level of end-to-end transparency for multiple devices in the home; something that was lost over years and years of "home router" (=NAT) proliferation. Best of all: "It is based on an actual IPv6 deployment by Swisscom" - so now we can actually learn from practical experience with this approach.
By the way: On March 25th 2013, IPv6 Security will be our topic at the monthly Swiss IPv6 council tech. More details here...
